Collaborative Educational Services (COEDS) is a program that provides services to the child and family in the home and/or community setting. COEDS may be provided if your family needs additional support at home to help your child access school. The IEP team, including you, will decide whether this program is appropriate. COEDS provides social work services and behavior interventions to assist the student in achieving their social/emotional goals at school. You may work with a Family Case Manager, Youth Partner and/or Parent Partner to best support your child.
There will be IEP goals developed to measure your child's progress toward the goals addressed by COEDS. You will receive progress reports on these goals at the same intervals that you receive progress reports on all other IEP goals. The Special Education Case Manager will work closely with COEDS staff to communicate about your child and monitoring their access and participation in school.
